For this John Denver musical review, I chose R358 - Rose Indigo as my color for the backlight wash, which turned out to be a primary element of the production. Throughout the musical numbers, the backlight complimented both the warm and cool washes from the SeaChangers mounted at sidelight and torm positions. It made the performers pop out from the full-cyc projections that are also crucial to the show, without bouncing any light back onto the cyc itself due to low transmission. I've used R358 and colors similar to it as backlight in many shows with the same feel, and found it to be a versatile tool that works very well with many styles of music. Definitely one of my favorite Rosco colors!
