November 2012 run of "The Skin of Our Teeth" by Thorton Wilder at Lake Forest High School. Directed by Barbara Papp, set design by Allegra Levin, lighting direction by Alex Zylka, sound direction by Jonathan Flusser.
I used R19 and R27 from multiple points backstage to create the feel of "red roman fires" as described in the script, as Act III takes place in a post-war period of ruin. R53 is used in the trap door to create a shaft of white light emanating from down below. Our home made star drop (used in "Almost, Maine" previously) resurfaces and finally makes the 15+ hours spent working on it seem worth it!
Colors Used:
- R19
- R27
- R53
